Montgomery Al joins SAM BAT Fall League Baseball in 2013
In Montgomery, Alabama the league will be run by Coach A. Rashad White and will be known as the Frank Evans SAM BAT Fall League named after former professional player and coach Frank Evans (1921-2012), a Negro League Hall of Famer and MLB Hall of Fame Honoree, who played and managed in the Negro League from 1937 through to 1954 and served as a MLB coach and scout for over 40 years. Coach Evans is responsible for the success of more professional players than anyone in history.
Coach A. Rashad White, known as A. Rod, is the Founder of the Frank Evans Wooden Bat League and the Founder & Head Instructor for the IMPACT Baseball & Softball Academy, LLC- AKA the IMPACT Baseball Factory- located in Montgomery, AL. Coach White is a Former Assistant Coach for Hitting and Fielding at Alabama State University, his Alma Mater, a Division I Program. His professional playing career in A, Double A Minor League Baseball and in the Independent Leagues was cut short due to injuries. Coach White holds a White holds B.S. Physical Education, a State of Alabama Dpt. of Education Professional Educator Certification and is currently completing his MBA through Kaplan University. White currently teaches in the Montgomery Public School System as a Physical Education Teacher at Vaughn Road Elementary School.
